What Happy Couples Do Every Day

OK. We’re not suggesting that if you do these things with your significant other, you’re going to stay together forever, but these ten items can help, according to Sumaiya Kabir from Lifehack.org.

10 Little Things Happy Couples Do Every Day

1. Communicate. Air differences in a constructive way, but no nit-picking, please.

2. Grow common interest. Find an activity or intellectual interest in common with your spouse and pursue it together.

3. Spend time together. Whatever spare time can be spent together, do it. Bonding does not occur when you’re separated.

4. Cuddle huddle. It doesn’t mean making love every day, but finding comfort through touching and holding before sleep can do wonders.

5. Hug and peck. Continuous light affection can mean powerful medicine to maintain happiness.

6. Signify I “heart” you everyday. Saying “I love you” reinforces, well, love!

7. Have a sense of humor. Laughing together can be, well better than sex!

8. Switch off their ringers. Detaching from tablets and smartphones returns you and your spouse to the “here and now.” No matter how hard, do it.

9. They believe in PDA. Not Personal Digital Assistant, silly. Public Display of Affection. Showing others that you’re a couple reinforces your own feelings of togetherness.

10. They plan their futures together. Realistically state your life goals together and make a realistic plan to achieve your dreams.

  4. Gifts. Lots of gifts.

7 Marriage One-Liners

  1. My husband and I were outrageously happy for fifteen years. Then we met.
  2. A good marriage is one where each partner secretly suspects they got the better deal.
  3. Every time you talk to your wife, your mind should remember that… ‘This conversation will be recorded for Training and Quality purpose’!
  4. Child’s Experience: If Mom is laughing at Dad’s jokes, you can bet it means they have guests.
  5. Just read that 4,153,237 people got married last year. Not to cause any trouble but shouldn’t that be an even number?
  6. New research found that marriage is the main reason for divorce.
  7. Argue with your wife only when she’s not around.
