For those of us with sensitive teeth, here’s an article for you! Teeth sensitive to hot or cold can take all the joy out of spontaneously cheating on your diet! The American Dental Association says, possible causes may include:
- Tooth decay (cavities)
- Fractured teeth
- Worn fillings
- Gum disease
- Worn tooth enamel
- Exposed tooth root
Possible treatments include:
- Desensitizing toothpaste
- Fluoride gel in the dentist’s office
- A crown, inlay or bonding
- Surgical gum graft
- Root canal
